Updating a CNAME Description permalink

The following procedure describes how to update CNAME descriptions from the CNAMEs page. You can also update CNAME descriptions from the form used to view CNAME information.

  1. In the left pane, click CNAMEs.
  2. Find the CNAME you want to update, then click its Actions menu and select Update. An Update CNAME form similar to the following appears.

  1. In the Description field, enter or edit a description for this CNAME.
  2. Click Update.

Note: The CNAME and Application fields are read-only and cannot be updated. If a new domain name is intended for the same application, delete the existing CNAME and create a new one.
